The goal of the RPS Core Layer Standardisation project is to support the development of standards, particularly the Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for Remote Pilot Stations (RPS), also called Command Unit (CU) for RPAS within EASA certified category. The document will be focused on Core Layer elements, which are those essential for the crew to operate the RPA.
In order to validate the requirements included in the MOPS currently being developed with EUROCAE WG-105, a validation campaign will be executed in Airbus premises. The aim is to ensure that a CU compliant with these requirements can conduct operations into controlled airspace in accordance with existing regulations and procedures.
